Key Information

 P.E. Day's

Hawthorn - Wednesday and Thursday

Juniper - Thursday and Friday

On PE days, you must send your child to school in their full PE kit as we are not changing clothing in school.  Long hair needs to be tied back and earrings removed for these sessions.

Homework

Spellings  - We have a weekly spelling test every Thursday. Spellings will be sent home in the school planner for children to practise each week.

Reading - All children will be given a reading book according to their reading stage. Children change their reading book on a Monday and Friday and are encouraged to choose their own book. We would love to see children reading more and really enjoying what they are reading. Team points are awarded every time a child reads at home. An adult must sign the planner to say that their child has read. All children have a login for Bug Club which can also be used to access a wider range of books to enjoy reading.

Topic based homework - homework related to the weeks learning in school will be set on a Friday on Google Classroom. This is to be completed by the following Friday.

Planners

Children all have their own planner which they are responsible for. Children should have their planner in school every day. Planners are a great way of communicating between home and school.  Planners need to be signed by parents/guardians weekly. Teacher's will check and sign planners at least weekly. The planner is used for recording reading at home and in school, spellings and any other information that needs to be shared.
